BOLD is excited to welcome our newest Creative Director, Anna Gindes, to the team!
Anna is a “digital first” Creative Director with excellent branding skills and extensive marketing strategy experience.
With over a decade of experience in both traditional graphic design and user experience (UX) design, Anna has collaborated with teams of designers, researchers, and developers to solve complex problems through design. She will lead BOLD's creative teams as they bring brands to life on diverse platforms including brand websites, retailer marketplaces, shoppable video, social media, and more.
Here's a bit more about Anna in her own words...
What's your hometown?
Born and raised just north of Baltimore, Maryland. It was such a great place to grow up that I recently moved back after 15 years away to raise my family here.
Why did you decide to join Bold Strategies?
I've been freelancing for Bold for the past 6 months, so I've truly taken this role for a test drive! I'm looking forward to all the creative and strategic opportunities that this position presents, but I'm most excited to continue working with the awesome people I've met so far on the Bold team.
What's the first thing you ever bought on Amazon.com? What does that say about you?
I had to go way back in my email to find out! My first Amazon purchase was the "I Love Trader Joe's" cookbook — most likely at a time when I still considered Amazon to be primarily a bookstore. This says I have consistent taste because I still love to shop at Trader Joe's.
What's your favorite book?
The Design of Everyday Things by Don Norman had a huge impact on me professionally, but most of my reading these days is picture books with my 2-year-old son. He loves Lyle the Crocodile.
What's your favorite place?
Rome, Italy — I studied abroad there in college and later took two trips with my husband, including our honeymoon! So much art and history and amazing food.
"I'm happiest when I'm..."
By the water — ocean, lake, bay, wherever! — with my family and friends.
"People would be surprised to know that..."
I've been to a World Cup and a Super Bowl and would love to make it to a World Series in my lifetime.
